Wilys 66 touring 1926
Hallo friends. I was last week in Coralville,Iowa, in cars museum. There is Buick Touring 1926. He has the same body, frame, seat, wteering and wheels ( even color ) as my Willys. Axles, engine and transmision were Buick. Who built something??

Are  they right hand steering?  Many cars of this era were made in Canada or Australia and were Holden bodied.

This gets confusing.  The great 6 WK model  66  Touring/Phaetons were imported to Australia and New Zealand and parts of south America and europe as Rt hand steering. The Buicks in Australia had Australian bodies and rt hand steering, as did the smaller Willys Knights and Falcon Knights and Whippits.  The only way you can track the two cars you mentioned is by the engine numbers and body numbers.   best of luck  Rob

Rob, the car once belonged to Robbie Grant of Balfour, Southland New Zealand. It then went to a now defunct car museum in Queenstown New Zealand. Later it went to Jaromir Svoboda in Austria who re restored it. It always has been RHD, somewhere I have a photo of it taken in the 1970's but it would be a long job to find it. It is in the photo gallery on line two, a white tourer alongside a red roadster. John.

John, I sent you photos of both cars. If you have time and you find old photos of my car, please send me. I will be very happy. Jaromir.

Jaromir, get in contact with Paul Young the phot gallery editor. His contact details will be in your WOKR roster and have him put the photo of your car in the gallery. It will compliment the old photo I had put up some years ago. Regards John.
